Today, let's make Homemade “Pocky” chocolate stick cookies, a favorite of many. Using homemade ingredients makes them more natural, healthier, and tastier! My family said the texture is quite similar, the chocolate is richer with higher quality. Pocky originated from Japanese chocolate-coated biscuit sticks. The name "Pocky" comes from the "PokPok" sound (onomatopoeic word pokkiri (ポッキリ) when you bite into it. This time, the process of making these biscuit sticks is different from making regular cookies; it's a bit like making breadsticks/pasta, repeatedly rolled and cut into thin strips, baked vertically—that's how you get texture similar to Pocky. Once baked, coat cookie sticks with tempered chocolate. White chocolate with colorful sprinkles/Oreos. Dark chocolate with roasted almonds. Breaking pocky sticks apart, makes a clear, snap sound, crunchy delicious!
