Mid-Autumn Festival is just around the corner and I went into the mountains with Xiaohao to pick some fruits. They are called sugar apples because they are similar to the hair of the Buddha. We locals also call them "mawozha" (Yunnan dialect). As sugar apple usually harvests before the Mid-Autumn Festival, it is one of our essentials for the festival as well.
