Chicken and duck eggs turn into century eggs, revealing surprise colors—black, yellow, and patterned I've eaten century eggs since I was little, but this is my first time making them myself. My grandmother's house is in a secluded area with wide land surrounded by mountains, providing plenty of space to raise various poultry—chickens, ducks, geese, and rabbits. Most of the farm-fresh eggs we use come from her place. During a visit to my grandfather, I collected some chicken eggs and brought back some duck eggs that my grandmother had saved.
