雪州·【轰埠】一条街的小镇 ～ 食游记 • Kuang Town Selangor ~ Food Adventure 早期历史：20世纪初因煤炭开采成为重要火车枢纽，英殖民时期，英国人在当地建了铁路，并在轰埠设立火车站，轰埠才算真正开埠。全程长22.2公里的轨道投入运作后，促使轰埠成为一个繁忙的火车枢纽，以转运八丁燕带的锡米以及煤炭山的煤块。然而，1960年煤炭产量没落，1971年煤炭山铁路拆卸，轰埠的火车服务中断；那段时期，轰埠百业萧条，许多村民开始往外发展。直至1995年，电动火车来到轰埠站，是马来亚铁路通勤铁路（Komuter）巴生港线的其中一个站点，轰埠才开始重现生气。 轰埠90%以上的华裔居民为惠州籍客家人，是一个典型的客家村，也有部分巫裔居民。当地设有轰埠华文小学，建立于1936年。 Kuang Town (Hong Bu): The pronunciation of “Hong” is similar to “Guang” in Cantonese and Huizhou Hakka, while “Bu” means a commercial town or port; thus, “Kuang” is the origin of its Chinese name. Early History: In the early 20th century, it became an important railway hub due to coal mining. During the British colonial period, the British built a railway there and established a train station in Kuang Town, marking the town’s official founding. After the 22.2-kilometer track was put into operation, it transformed Kuang into a bustling railway hub, serving as a transit point for tin and rice from Batang Berjuntai (Bestari Jaya) and coal from Bukit Kayu Hitam. However, coal production declined in 1960, and the Coal Hill railway was dismantled in 1971, bringing Kuang’s railway services to a halt; During that period, Hongbu’s economy stagnated, and many villagers began to seek opportunities elsewhere. It wasn’t until 1995, when electric trains arrived at Kuang Station — one of the stops on the Port Klang Line of the Malaysian Railway’s Commuter service—that Kuang Town began to regain its vitality. Over 90% of Kuang’s Chinese residents are Hakka people from Huizhou, making it a typical Hakka village, though there is also a Malay population.
